As we walk into March this year, we also begin our Church’s holy season of Lent. On Ash Wednesday we hear the following refrain in our Responsorial Psalm: “Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned.” Yes, we all sin and, most probably, we will continue to sin. My sin affects others and the sins of others affect me. And we know without a doubt that God loves us as sinful human beings, all of us! During the month of March, our community seeks to live as Instruments of God's Hope by forgiving ourselves and others. May God give us the grace to live in awareness of our need for Him and His forgiveness...to seek the peace that can only come from Him!
